Fees

Fees are below the Australian Psychological Society’s recommended fee of $300 per session and the full fee is due at the time of the appointment. Please contact Alba Psychology for the current schedule of fees.

Please note that due to the costs associated with running a private practice, bulk billing is not offered.

Medicare

Alba Psychology provides therapy under the Medicare Better Access Program. Your General Practitioner (GP) will determine if you are eligible for Mental Health Treatment plan which will allow you a Medicare Rebate of $93.35 per session. We recommend booking a longer appointment with your GP to allow sufficient time for this to be discussed. A referral letter from your Psychiatrist or Paediatrician will also allow you Medicare rebates.

The Medicare rebate is available for up to ten sessions per calendar year.

If your bank account details are registered with Medicare, you can elect to have the rebate processed directly back into your account.

Private health rebates

We are able to provide therapy services that you can then claim a portion back through your private health fund. Please check directly with your provider as to your specific rebates, as this varies across health funds. Private Health fund rebates cannot be used at the same time as using a Medicare Claim.

NDIS funding

Alba Psychology is able to offer support to NDIS self and plan managed clients. Fees are in line with the NDIS price guide and no gap payments are required.
